PCM-5862 w/2.4.19 kernel....

I have a PCM-5862 SBC and I am trying to build a 2.4.19 kernel for it, and I am having trouble getting it to recognize the on-board, RealTek RTL-8029(AS) ethernet controller.

I loaded Redhat 8.0, which is using a full 2.4.18-14 kernel, and it works fine. Everything is recognized, and the hardware all works great. However, when I try to build my own kernel, using the 2.4.19 from kernel.org, I can get everything to work fine, except the ethernet.

I have tried loading the PCI NE2k module, as well as the RTL kernel module. Neither seems to work. The device shows up fine when I do a lspci. The kernel just does not seem able to initialize the controller, so when the networking starts, it fails.

What irk's me, is the 2.4.18-14 kernel recognizes it, and it works correctly....just my 2.4.19 build, does not. So, I am thinking I have something wrong in my config.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks,

- Ted
