PCI or PCI-E in BIOS?

My computer has an nVidia GeForce 7600GS graphics card and according to the specifications it is a PCI-Express card.
In my bios it has an option to use PCI or PCI-E for the primary graphics adapter.
By default it is set to PCI, should I change it to PCI-E and what benefits/damage would I get if I did?
Or am I completely missing what it means?

You can change it if you want too the only real benefit is when you have another video card in the system and it is not being initialized properly. For instance when I had both a PCI and AGP card in my system for a dual monitor setup I needed it set to PCI otherwise I would never get a signal if set to AGP.
