Parallel port CF Card Reader

I have a cf card reader that runs on my parellel port, i have no clue how to mount it and no idea if in linux a driver is requiered, I have to admit the card reader is about 7 years old, and so i would have given up on it, but XP can use it with out any drivers (it seems)? i just scaned the parallel port for new hardware and it poped up!? im a bit of a newbie, but was wondering if its as simpel as getting the correct arguments in to "mount"? obviously tho the parallel port is a charcter device and not a block device, so im stuck,

It made by digital dream, but there not in bussiness ne more, and when they were i think they just put there logo on someone elses product,

it would be gr8 if i could get it to work as at the moment when ever i want to get pictures of my digital camera i have to fire up windows,

i dont know of any command to scan the parrelle port to see if its finding nething,

any help would be great as theres nowt on the net!

Since USB CF readers are under $10 these days, is it really worth the time and effort? In any case, I haven't seen Linux support for this type of device.
