no one is replying! Is it that no one can help me ? is it that a joystick cannot be used with mandrake? or is there some file output you need before helping? if the last is the case please tell me what file output would be relevant, remember I am very new to linux

hello all
me again I am still trying to get this stick to work.
I understand I need to edit /etc/rc.d/ rc.modules and/or rc.local, what I am missing and cannot find is the syntax and the location for my edit within these files. I am neither a programmer nor an old hand at *nix.
any help would be appreciated
