I can't seem to get my Palm Z22 to sync with any of the programs (kpilot, JPilot. Gnome sync tools which is what evolution uses). I have seen a lot of posts and noted where it has told me to creat a symbolic link to dev/pilot but I don't know where to see or how to tell what my palm is being seen as. It is a usb cable and the system sees it. But I don't know where to look to see where it is loading it. I tried all the usual things that posts tell me to do, turn it on first and start the sync on the palm before the desktop but nothing seems to work. If I knew what to create that symbolic link to or where to tell the program to look ie dev/ttyusb01 I could probably get it going. Where do I look to find that out.

Okay I got my Palm Z22 to sync. After reading some older posts here and on other borads. Somewhere along the way I created a symbolic link ln -s /dev/ttyusb4 /dev/pilot then I read this article: http://enterprise.linux.com/article..../03/17/1536231. After issueing the commands modprobe usbserial and modprobe visor I got it to sync with Evolution using the Gnome tools required by Evolution. It syncs when I press the Hot Sync on the palm now. They only thing is, I have to reload the modules after a reboot, but that should be real easy to figure out.
