pairing bluetooth keyboard is becoming a problem

how can i get my keyboard to pair by "simply turning it on" every time i turn the keyboard off it forgets it pairing codes and does not pair again until i generate a new code for it.

how can i get it to auto pair with NO code entry.

More info please. Which DE are you using? What hardware (vendor of keyboard and Bluetooth adapter)? What have you done to pair the devices. Are you using the keyboard elsewhere in between?

i had 2 keyboards do the same thing, its with gnome.... setting it up with blueman resolved the issue, but id prefer not to have blueman installed. bluez + gnome, im using a mac keyboard but a rocketfish (now sold down the river) duplicated the issue.

If it's Bluez you want,... look here;

It probably wasn't set up with HID support out of box...
