Page maximizes when trying to move it

I have a Dell laptop Inspiron 17" with only Ubuntu 13.04 as the operating system.

When I have a page open on the desktop, reduced in size, and I want to move that page over to make room for something else, the page automatically enlarges to full screen.

I don't know if this is a function of Ubuntu or if it is built in to the Dell cp., but it bothers the heck out of me.

Anyone have an answer?

Thank you

Hi,

Which desktop environnement do you use(gnome3,KDE,XFCE,Unity)? Some of them may maximize the window if you bring it close to the top edge. So if you want to move it, stay away from the top edge of the screen.

Hi Razaliel, thank you for the reply. I am using Unity and your suggestion to "stay away from the top" works for me. I do wish the programmers would not put so much effort into making everything automatic. If I want the window full screen I can, with a simple ckick, make it full screen. Oh well, I don't want to whine about it too much. I'm happy with just about all the other features.
Again thanks for you advice.
