Packard Bell Diamond 1200 USB scanner


guys,

looking for a bit of help here.

I checked this our and I found out that this is actually a Mustek Pawbear 1200 scanner.

I checked out that scanner and its oing on a bout backends that need to be loaded and stuff to get it to work.

can someone help me get this working, so I can do some work in the house.

Could you describe *where* in the process (after installing driver.tgz) it goes wrong. Use the readme from the tarball as checklist, and check if all the required modules loaded and apps are installed.

I looked at the site Aussie.

I downloaded the backend file for it, but I dont know how to install it

What with me being a dumb ass NooBiE.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You don't need to download any extra files apart from the latest version of sane and xsane (for a gui).
