P5N32-E SLI & Linux


The mainbord : Asus P5N32-E SLI is compatible with Linux?

If yes, wich kernel are required?

Yes it is.

As for compatability most releases should work although i would recommend using the 64 bit releases. if the drivers do not come up automatically they are on your install cd with the mb or you can get them at the asus website.

I've been trying to install Ubuntu with this motherboard and I've ran into many... many issues. Ubuntu 6.10 will install, but ethernet, sound, etc doesn't seem to work. Tried the modprobe forcedeth driver, doesn't seem to get the ether net working.

Have you been successful in getting linux to play nicely with this MB?
