P4PE (4401 LAN) and RedHat 7.2

I'm having some troubles installing the LAN driver for my Asus P4PE motherboard on RedHat Linux 7.2

I copy the RPM to my account, as instructed in the RELEASE notes, but when I do a rpm -ivh on the file, I get a "bad exit status from ..."

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

Would I be better off doing a "make install" on the .tar.gz file instead? Do I need to do a ./configure first?
