P4 powersupply on AMD motherboard

i have bought a motherboard which is biostar tforce 550

my power supply for p4

so this power supply having 20 pin male power connecter to motherboard
but the new biostar motherboard have 24 pin female power connector

20 pin can fit into 20 of the 24 female power connector

i've read in some forum says that p4 20 pin connector can be connected to 24 pin female connector

but i dont know whether it is save to use the 20 female connector and left the rest un connected...

and how do i connected then?
plugin into the first 20 pin or the last 20 ping or in the middle and left two pin unattached in both side?

All 24 pins are there for a reason. Some motherboards will boot with only 20 pins filled but it is asking for problems. The 24 pin power supplies are on most new motherboards (amd and intel). Bite the bullet and get a 24pin power supply. This is one area where you do not want to be cheap. Get a good power supply(check ratings at newegg or other realiable sources).
