Output from the lsusb


How do you put what USB port goes with with the output from lsusb command

here is my output from my HP laptop note I only have 4 USBs that I am aware of.

Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 5986:02ac Acer, Inc
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 138a:0018 DigitalPersona, Inc
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Plug something in to each port in sequence and note which port in lsusb it shows up in.

Thanks for the advice I did what you said and was able to tell what bus I was connected to and made a note of it. I was also to get my usb devices working. Thanks
