Out of range

whenever I execute system-config-display ,my monitor goes out of range..

and when am executing any other system-config-* commands ,it's saying it's a graphical application and requires DISPLAY to be set.

e.g.
Code:
[root@server1 ~]# system-config-printer
system-config-printer: could not open display
This is a graphical application and requires DISPLAY to be set.
