Optical mouse's cursor moves jerky

I've got an optical mouse genius NetScroll+ Eye. It works, but often it moves jerky (somehow it teleports 10 pixels to some side). I'm on Mandrake 9.1 and Krenel 2.4.21; I've tried all mouse drivers, that are available... I've also take a look aroud the genius' webpage, but there're no such drivers....

Oxyd.

Maybe your mouse acceleration is set too high. I think KDE and GNOME have settings in their control panels to adjust it, and you can also tweak it manually in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.
