Hi,
could you be more specific about the hardware, I don't see any Nvidia in your xorg.conf, instead there is this :
Quote:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller"
Driver "i810"
Option "UseFBDev"
Option "EnablePageFlip" "On"
VideoRam 65536
EndSection
and also :
Quote:
direct rendering: Yes
This should be good news, if the Intel chip is what you use for graphic rendering. If you have an Nvidia card in there, I think there's more work than just installing the driver.

Good point serafean, nvidea is not needed if the graphics system is an intel chip based onboard video.

My current Video system, on the box I'm sing at the moment:
Quote:
Identification
Vendor: ‎Intel Corp.

Description: ‎82815 CGC [Chipset Graphics Controller]

Media class: ‎DISPLAY_VGA

Connection
Bus: ‎PCI

Bus PCI #: ‎0

PCI device #: ‎2

PCI function #: ‎0

Vendor ID: ‎32902

Device ID: ‎4402

Sub vendor ID: ‎32902

Sub device ID: ‎17729

Misc
Module: ‎Card:Intel 815

This is the relevant section of my x configuration:
Quote:
Section "Device"
Identifier "device1"
VendorName "Intel Corp."
BoardName "Intel 815"
Driver "i810"
Option "DPMS"
Option "XaaNoPixmapCache"
EndSection
I don't have any issues with my system being slow in response when I'm in a gui.
