OpenSUSE 11: Wireless Drivers on Medion MD96015 Lappy; No supported drivers?

Okay, well I've been trying to get the wireless drivers working on my Medion MD96015 laptop. Since there were no native Linux drivers for the WLAN, I tried using installing the Windows drivers through ndiswrapper, and it a looks the drivers have been installed correctly, but I'm not getting anything. Going into YaST and selecting "Network Setting", it asks if I want to modprobe the hardware/drivers that were installed through ndiswrapper. Selecting 'Yes' locks up the system with no other choice but to hard-reboot the computer. I've looked around the internet and have seen a few people who have the same problem, but all of the discussions remain unsolved and very old. Doesn't look so good

lspci gives me this:

06:09.0 Ethernet controller: Winbond Electronics Corp W89C33D 802.11 a/b/g BB/MAC

Any input or suggestions on this would be awesome, thanks!

I posted pn the OpenSUSE forums, but got no replies. I figured these forums would be a lot more active than the OpenSUSE forums. :D

SuSE Wireless

Good Day,
I am not sure this will help, I've been working Open SuSE 10.3 but with the HP4500ze laptop I have with XP-Pro on part of it I used Knoppix to try and see why I couldn't get the wireless to work. have you tried the Knoppix disk yet?

Sorry if its not an answer you are looking for but outside of Intel/Broadcom/Atheros your chances of getting WLAN working are rather low.
Because mini-PCI cards are so incredibly cheap, it might be worth it to just buy yourself a different card. You would have to check whether your laptop is mini-PCI or mini-PCI Express, and buy one accordingly.
I encourage getting Atheros chipset based card because in my opinion they (madwifi) have the best driver, the best support and very rapid and active development. I got such card for my semi-old N610c for $20. Broadcom and Intel cards are generally much cheaper.
