Unhappy OpenGL games hangs after a while with my geforce 2 MX 400

I've installed the nvidia drivers for the graphics-card, updated the XF86Config-4 file. glxgears gives betveen 200 and 500 fps, but when I try to run a game, it works, but after a cuple of minutes the game hangs, and only the background sound remains. The only way out of the game is pressing Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. And it's not the game, i have tried many games, and many of the old NVIDIA drivers too.

My computer is not so good:

AMD K6/2 525MHz
512MB 133MHz SDRAM
GEFORCE MX 400 PCI 64MB

This is what my XF86Config looks like:

I've got Mandrake 9.2 and Kernel 2.4.22.36mdk

lspcidrake output:

unknown : Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi]|M1541 [BRIDGE_HOST]
unknown : Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi]|M5243 [BRIDGE_PCI]
unknown : Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi]|M7101 PMU [BRIDGE_OTHER]
unknown : Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi]|M1533 PCI to ISA Bridge [Aladdin IV] [BRIDGE_ISA]
Card:NVIDIA GeForce2 DDR (generic): nVidia Corporation|NV11 geForce2 100/200 [DISPLAY_VGA]
es1371 : Creative Labs|Sound Blaster AudioPCI64V/AudioPCI128 [MULTIMEDIA_AUDIO]
acx100_pci : Texas Instruments|USR2210 22Mbps Wireless PC Card [NETWORK_OTHER]
unknown : Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi]|M5229 IDE [STORAGE_IDE]

Notice that the grafic-card is named geForce2 100/200 even if I know its a gf2 400 (the gf2 bios says it, and it says so on the card itself). Even windows think it is a gv2 100/200.

OK, I just heard from the one I got the card from that you must mannualy install the gf2 400 driver, becouse windows thinks it's a 100/200 or the games will freeze but how can I do this in Linux?
