OpenGL and 3D Acceleration not working with GeForce8600GTS
So I just finished building my computer and got everything working execpt the OpenGL and 3D Acceleration. My card is an Nvidia GeForce8600GTS which isnt quite supported by Ubuntu yet because its so new, so I have installed the drivers from Nvidia's website. I know that these drivers are working properly because my dual monitors are working and I am getting great resolution with them. The way I know that OpenGL and 3D Acceleration arnt working is through Cedega. I would really like to start gaming soon on this system because I have basicly built it for gaming and school.

I just checked glxgears and was getting ~60fps so does that mean that it is working properly, and this is just a Cedega problem?
Ok, so I just read that with the binary drivers from nvidia, I should disable the dri in the x11 config file and did that and now I'm getting over 9700fps so I think OpenGL is working... I just dont know how to test the 3D acceleration or how to fix it in Cedega. Any help would be great.

60fps??
I'm 100% sure you don't have hardware acceleration... My lousy 7300GT also shoots over few thousand fps

I changed the settings and am now getting just under 10,000FPS... but it still says that it is not working.
