since you can telnet into router you should be able to use your web browser to get into it. In address bar try 192.168.1.1 if that does not give you a login box try 192.168.1.254 2) Your router should have a manual and tell you more. |
really i can login to it
but the sofware of the company that i borrowed put special software so no body can change it i think the only way that i use commands in telnet what i know that i has some linux commands on it the question now how can i add a port using commands on telnet??? |
1) Since you are saying that you can login ....have you actually tried to use the web browser or not?
2) if you can not login with the web browser after getting a login screen....its because you do not know the admin password....login name is nearly always "admin" and the default password is admin.....then try the small reset button hole at the back of the router. My router (not the same the yours) says press while powered up...for 6 seconds to restore factory defaults. please do not reset until you have written down all of your settings especially things like your login name and password...nameserver infomation etc. 3) I have some experience at firmware changes. If the reset did not reset the router to allow you to login with a web browser to change the settings....find the manufacturer and download their latest firmware. Your manual should with luck tell you how to update firmware....I need a com port and a cable that connects to the line port through an adaptor but yours may be different. However circular issue is I have to be able to login via the web browser to use the firmware upgrade (or downgrade) I have never tried telnet as I think its not a secure service so I do have it installed good luck |
thanx man

yes i can login 2) what address? 192.168.1.1 3) what happended when you pushed in the small reset switch? i can't see restart i think that this router has 2 passwords on for the company and other for users the account of users doesn't allow restarting or configuration |
so your router has a broadcom Chip in it.. but who actually made the router ? what name and model number are on the outside of it ? you should be able to get a manual from the manufacturer.
for instance this router uses that chip.. http://www.tenda.cn/product/show.php?productid-270.html and there is a link to the manual on the downloads page.. |
thanks
now my picture includes the word reset....but aussies are dumber? I am showing mine to show you how small the hole is relative to the eth cable jack points. your may not be labelled? it is a tiny hole. http://h1.ripway.com/aus9/rescue/rout.png |
