oops! took out second hard disk--fs fails to load!

Hi,
I'm on Mandrake 9.2. I added a second drive, formatted mounted, but decided to replace with another drive (never put data on it). Stupid move. Now it fails to find /dev/hdc1 and it doesn't matter if I put it back. Tries to mount, can't fdisk, can't umount, can't repair...

fsdk:ext3: No such device while trying to open \dev\hdc1... etc.

Could someone help me remove the disk? I'm totally lost...

Thanks so much!

Steve

Nevermind! searched and deduced I could hack it out of the etc\fstab file with VIM. Boy, could I use and easier editor from the command prompt. Holy crap on a stick! Up and running now...
