Question one module for two hardware devices

I have network interfaces eth0, eth1 and eth2 in my PC. eth1(Intel 82541GI GE NIC) and eth2(Intel 82541GI GE NIC) both use the same e1000 module. Is it possible to remove module for only one of those network interfaces? I mean if I do

Code:
modprobe -r e1000
..both eth1 and eth2 will be removed. Is it possible to remove module for just one of those interfaces?

Maybe tell the computer to select one device for the module, if it is possible. If not, shut down the device when the computer starts up

Wonder if you chmod'd the /dev/eth1 and up. This assumes order of cards in some cases on boot.

I guess you could mess up the interrupt or I/O or such.

dunno if (option) ether on boot would work.

Most people would simply not configure it or down it.
