One dead disk from a RAID-0
Greetings! I have a bit of a problem with a server.
The machine has four SCSI disks in RAID-0. It seems one of them is failing, because the SCSI controller can't recognize it. I entered rescue mode from my installation disks (RedHat AS 2), but it still doesn't find any Linux system partitions. My questions: - In RAID-0, is one disk enough to corrupt the whole thing? - I have several partitions and mount points distributed on the 4 disks, with information and files, but no system or configuration ones. Is there any way I can see/mount the mount points of the safe disks? |
There is no redundancy on a RAID-0 configuration (More of an AID.. If thats an acronym...), so one dead disk will be enough to ruin your whole setup.
