Older Laptop has Non-bootable cd

HI Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with Slackware 10.X. I have bought the CD's and built the bare.i and the 2 lib diskettes. They seem to load and be working fine all is well EXCEPT now, it's time to load the hard disk and SELECT the source which is a CD. This requires that I remove the Diskette drive and INSTALL the CD drive which is done. The problem is I not getting the system to now find the CD Drive and stop looking for the diskettes.

Any help would appreciated.

Are you sure that you can hotswap the cd and floppy drives.

Yes, you can. It or I seem to have trouble making the bare.i or slackware of the CD configuration or mnt point, I think.
