ah, did you by chance recompile the source for the kernel that came with mandrake, and not do a make modules and make modules_install?
that would explain it, also if you tried to install alsa onto a premade kernel I would imagine that could happen
That's i2c support for a National Semiconductor watchdog card that I really, really doubt you have... ignore it, a depmod error isn't that big a deal, its under Character Devices... Watchdog Cards in xconfig or menuconfig... about halfway down the screen, just take out all the watchdog cards really.
I agree. sorry I wasn't responding, earlyer today a friend of my brothers called for me, he said windows was crashing every 5 min and he decided to ditch it and install linux, so I have been busy.
no, in actuallity and idiot, despite my efforts to help him help himself he ended up convising me to make it work for him, he will be a windows user again in no time I am sure.
it seems I am mistaken, he is big into scripting and ftp (he is a big anime trader on irc and stuff) and he is doing quite well already, I am suprised, I think he will make it after all.
