Unhappy oh Mandriva 2006.0 reboots atfer swap enabled

I upgraded my PC with

80GB @7200RPM segate HDD and
nVidia AGP Geforce FX5200 256MB DDR

I reinstalled mandriva2006.0 and i configured the nVidia Geforce FX5200 card as graphics interface. But When booting mandriva2006.0 linux myt system reboots after enebling swapspace.

Maybe the swap partiton is corrupted. Try booting a Linux live CD and use a terminal window to run mkswap on the swap partition.

If the Linux live CD can use the swap partition then maybe this isn't the problem. Nevertheless is wouldn't hurt to try it. If the live CD is using the existing swap partition then you probably will have to issue the swapoff command before the mkswap command.
