Nvidia onboard sound not working

i am having trouble getting any sound from media players through my on board sound. it works fine with my audigy 2 zs, except it thinks that mic/input1 is input 2 so people on skype can't hear me.

a fix for either of these problems would be great

i'm using pclos and the sound system is oss

note: i can hear myself talk when the mic is un-muted on the on-board

i think you need to upgrade to alsa

i switched to slackware 10.2 not for this reason, but i wanted something different. i have the creative audigy 2 zs platinum pro still, and when i plug the mic in Mic in/Line in 1 it has no sound, but i get sound from Line in 2. the problem is skype isn't looking for a mic in line-in 2. and i can't use it to communicate at all because of this.

-slackware 10.2
-creative audigy 2 zs platinum pro
-alsa
-skype version 1.2.0.18_API
(mic definitely works)

ah i got it working. i ran the alsa config and alsamixer. works great now. kmix just doesn't have all the options that it needs to have for my sound card.
just thought that i'd post the fix for anyone that might have the same problem.
