NVIDIA: lib/modules/2.4.22/net not ELF file

I've been trying to install the 5336 NVIDIA driver, but every time I do, the installer gives me the error message lib/modules/2.4.22/net not ELF file. I'm an extreme noob (working on 1 week) at Linux, and I really don't know what to do about it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

It's the 2.4.22 kernel, and I haven't done anything to it, so it's still the default installation.
