NVIDIA GForce 4 resolution issue

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 with a NVIDIA GForce 4 card. In Windows I can get a resolution of 1650x1280 (I think that is the res.) but I can only get 1280x1024 in Gentoo. I do not know what to add to my "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" file to enable the higher resolution. Any help would be welcomed.

Nvidia drivers

You could try dowloading and installing the Linux Nvidia drivers from Nvidia's site if you haven't already. In order to do that you need your kernel headers though.
The package comes with instructions on how to install.
