Option "DPMS"

Section "Module"
Load "dbe" # Double-Buffering Extension
Load "v4l" # Video for Linux
Load "extmod"
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
Load "synaptics"
Load "glx" # 3D layer

(didnt have to change anything there according to the directions)

I had trouble getting the nvidia module to load with mdk10.1. I suspect your having the same problem. Just to make sure, login at the command line as root and run:

# modprobe nvidia
# exit
$ startx

The modprobe command manually loads the nvidia kernel module. If X starts after this than for sure your nvidia module is not being autoloaded at boot. Post back if this is the case and I will go into how to correct the problem.

5200 Errors

Well I got pretty annoyed by the whole situation(3 days of posting and working), and I didnt get to try to solve the problem, I tried to "modconfg" and then load the configuration, but still no go. Right now I just installed Fedora Core 3 (suicide), and it dectected all my hardware just fine.
