NVIDIA GeForce 8200 using HDMI connection to TV
I have a fresh install of MythDora 10.21 that works fine with my Dell 15" monitor but when I try to use it with my Magnavox 37" flat panel TV I get nothing, no signal to the TV.
when I configure my nvidia display settings it sees the TV and I can make the config changes and save it but still no luck. I have another Mythbuntu box I use that is connected via HDMI that works fine. this is the version of xorg: X.Org X Server 1.5.3 Release Date: 5 November 2008 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5 x86_64 Current Operating System: Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.27.15-170.2.24.fc10.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Feb 11 23:14:31 EST 2009 x86_64 Build Date: 11 December 2008 05:27:30PM Build ID: xorg-x11-server 1.5.3-6.fc10 Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm an idiot, your right it didn't see it because their is a jumper setting on the xfx nvidia geforce mobo that enables HDMI, I had it on the DVI. Here is a link to a pic of the mobo and jumper.
http://www.motherboards.org/imagevie...1799_p3_16.jpg It works fine now. I had to not let nvidia settings force scaling but let my tv do it and the picture looks and fits great on my 37" with the resolution set to 1024x768. |
