Question Nvidia GeForce 7300LE Drivers in Ubuntu Edgy?

Hello everyone, i currently have two linux boxes and both have nvidia cards, when i installed the nvidia drivers on box #2 GeForce Nforce 2 it think, instillation was fine, but with box #1 i don't get the nvidia splash screen and upon reboot i get xserver errors... these are the commands i used
Quote:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx
sudo nvidia-xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals --composite
as i am doing this on the way to getting beryl. So i do sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and what not but it doesnt seem to work after going through everything and using nv as well as nvidia, i am reinstalling linux on box #1, but i want to know what i can do to get it to work seeing as i still want to get the drivers installed... with the xorg thing it does not automatically detect my card info, and it seems a little complicated, (as in i dont know exactly what to put for pci etc cuz i cant lspci during xorg thing) but if i need that more exact info on what i should do would be great. Thanks in advance,

Ok, i think i figured it out, after reinstall, i ran the commands above and everything works fine, i think the problem was the fact that i had used the propriety drivers etc. before installing as i did above thanks anyway.
