Nvidia Geforce 5200 Fx

Ok, i have SUSE 10.0 and i am trying to get my Nvidia Geforce 5200 fx card to run with suse..but the problem is that everytime i boot up with the card installed, i get a kernel panic or sometimes during bootup, the whole system just hangs..if i remove the card and boot with the monitor connected to the onboard display, everything works fine..how do i get SUSE to work with my graphics card ?? :( ive installed the nvidia driver without the card inserted, but still no luck..

If you have onboard video plus a standalone card, having both of them enabled can sometimes lead to conflicts.

Get into BIOS, and disable your onboard video. That ought to do it
