nvidia geforce 4 mx TvOut possible???

Can Tv-Out be mayed to work on the geforce 4 mx video card.
Does NVTV work with this card when i tried to use it all i get is a blank moniter No TvOut and hours of headaches
found the directions on nvidia site for setting tv out myself found the README and the directions involve changing the X configuration file
these settings caused blank screen before with NVTV
if i change the config file it is permanent right? so if i get a black screen there is no way to recover ?Have just gotten linux mdk9.1working right after a month of pulling myhair out and dont want to screw it up . Any input would help.

Thanks Erik

Screwed up my brain two months ago in a fall .... I got some script that I used to use... do't ask me how it workes.... my brains are screwed up.....
#!/bin/sh
X -screen TV :1 -ac&
sleep 2;
export DISPLAY=:1;
realplay $1&& kill `ps aux | awk '/X\ -screen/ {print $2}' `;
I still had the old nv.o driver by then....
