Nvidia Geforce 3 Ti-200 Driver Installation
I'm a total newbie. I got a second computer out of a crashed notebook and other parts I had laying around and I'm rouning Suse Linux 8.2 on it.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, so If someone wants to help, please explain everything as easily as possible. I'm still used to XP I'm continuing using it until I'm firm with Linux.
My problem is, that I want to run a Geforce 3 Ti-200 as an accelarator card. Linux tells me that I requiere the driver provided by nvidia. I downloaded it (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run; I'm not even sure if it's the right one) and I have no idea what to do with it. Clicking on it (like you're supitly used to do in XP) does nothing else then the replie that something isn't installed.
So, if someone could please help me. There's a chance that my question might have been answered on this board already, but I haven't found since I don't even know what I'm looking for.
