NVidia Driver - RedHat 8.0 problems....

I am not sure where to begin - but i am trying to install the NVidia Drivers:
NVIDIA_kernel.................athlon.rpm for RedHat 8.0. I uninstalled the kernel update to bring it back to the same kernel as the driver, I always get a heapload of errors everytime. My latest (after the kernel de install) is:
modprobe: can't locate module nvidia.0

and then it quits. I basically un installed the previous NVidia driver I tried to update, then started over. But now I get this error.... anyone else run into this or can help me out? I am still a newb to linux. My pc is this:

Athlon 1800 XP+
AsusA7S333
512 DDR 333
GeForce 4 MX Tornado 64 Bit DDR (innodv)
etc....

Thanks,
JM

have you tried this method? I had no luck with the RPMs, but the .tar's worked perfectly.

(note part about kernel headers)

I've also heard some people had problems with the 4191 ver. - maybe try using the older 3123 (there's an archive of all drivers at nvidia's site)

good luck

Quick question - when you are doing this installation of kernel and glx files.. do you need to be out of X? And how would I get out of x to do this?
