Nvidia Driver Kernel Source


I am a newb when it comes to linux, im trying to install video drivers for my FX 5200 /agp/128mb. When i try to install the drivers it says it cant build the kernel without the source file, where can i get this file? are they online? also, where do i figure out what kernel im running?? thank you

look in /usr/src directory, is there anything there??
the kernel source should be on your mandrake CD's
in a term window type:

cat /proc/version

this will tell you what kernel you are booting........if the source code is not on
mandrake CD's, just go to their website and download your current version.
