NVIDIA Display drivers removal


I cannot get the new NVIDIA display drivers to work.
I need to know how to get rid of them and restore the default drivers.

Thanks in advance

I have read all the other threads already on the NVIDIA drivers.

P.S. I have a piese of coursework I need in 4 torrow HELP!

If you installed RPM version:
rpm -e NVIDIA_GLX*
rpm -e NVIDIA_kernel*
And it should be done. If not, edit /etc/XF86Config-4, remove 'Load "glx" ' line and modify 'Driver "nvidia"' to 'Driver "nv"' (or nv->nvidia, I don't remember).

Its nvidia -> nv

The rpm uninstall doesn't work

no, the rpm command there won't do it, as the * refers to existing files in the current directory.

rpm -e `rpm -qa | grep NVIDIA_GLX`
rpm -e `rpm -qa | grep NVIDIA_kernel`
