so i got my video players workin, and nvidia installed to the point that i can watch all the bootsplash screens on both my cmptr and the television, but when i get to my desktop(kde) the television screen goes black....when i play my videos nuthin shows up on the tv....

i read a few posts regarding black screens with nvidia, but i get the feeling they arent even getting this far(ie:cloning the bootsplash) so im thinkin it must be sumthin im missin in configuring my nvidia????though i long ago realised that nuthin is easy in linux...hehe....

hopin someone can help get me over the final hump to watchin videos on my tv...

I had this!!

I had the TwinView not configured correctly in xorg.conf - you need:

Option "TwinView" "True"
Option "MetaModes" "800x600,800x600"
Option "HorizSync" "50-70"
Option "VertRefresh" "60"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "clone"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT-0,TV-0"

Note - if you dont have 2 sets of MetaModes and 2 connected monitors it will default back to just the first set and then only output to your Monitor.
