Nvidia 6600 under debiam

How do I install the offical driver under sarge 64bit port of debian. running kernel.

Download the appropriate driver from NVidia:

The driver package is a shell script that you'll need to run as root. If the drivers install properly then you'll need to make a few changes to your X11 config file. After this, you should be able to start X with the new official drivers. There are detailed installation instructions on the NV website.

yeah cool but it didn't work for some reason it couldn't insert the module it compiled.
