nVIDIA 6106 - Good 3D, Bad 2D

Hi, i don't understand why, but since i've installled the 6106 drivers (which was quite difficult for some reasons... i had to delete a lot of old drivers, it's a long story ), I've got an excellent 3D, but everything that is under X is just sloooooow. The best example is XMMS that need 1 or 2 seconds to move its windows from the left to the right of the screen.

Now some technique:
> xdpyinfo | grep NV
As you can see, the NVIDIA-GLX module isn't there, but le libs seems to be good:
I've got a debian under 2.6.5 kernel, and the only package i now is nvidia-glx, but when i ask to install it, it wants to install also a 2.4 kernel...
I hope you have a solution, because even the desk change is slow there
