Nvidia 3D Support Fedora Core 9

Hi there,

I am having difficulties with getting 3D Support in Fedora Core 9. I have done some Google searches and can see that around May time, there were lots of reports like this. It appeared that wasn't a driver available at the time which was compatible with Xorg.

Is this still the case?

I have installed what I beleive to be the correct Nvidia Drivers and can use the Nvidia Control Panel to adjust 3D settings or monitor temperatures on the card.

My XORG configuration file is below: -

# Xorg configuration created by livna-config-display

Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "Default Layout"
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AIGLX" "on"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"

# keyboard added by rhpxl
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "gb"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 24
EndSubSection
EndSection

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

Any pointers received greatly. I have not used Linux for sometime so am a little rusty so my apologies

If you've already installed Livna, then yes, the driver issues should be resolved and you should be able to use the Nvidia 3D driver.

What are you "difficulties"?
What exact problems are you having/seeing?
Your post is not very clear.

Thanks for the reply.

I am sorted now, I ran the yum updates from Livna and all was well.

Sorry that my post was not very clear
