Novatel and Kyocera EVDO Cards Problem?!?

I have a Kyocera KPC650 and a Novatel V620... They both work Under my IBM Laptop T30 with P4 running FC5 latest Kernel... I also have a Compaq Presario V2000 AMD Turion 64 running FC5 latest Kernel as well but the cards are not detected under that laptop?!? why?!? the pcmcia slot works because I am using it right now with my wireless card in the Compaq.... I am puzzled lsusb shows nothing on the Compaq but in the IBM it shows the vendor of both cards...

Any ideas!?!

Thank You!!!
