Yes. 1- Install the 32bit lib. 2-Remove the old driver 3- Install new driver.
Follow instructions on Brother site. Don't use anything else.

Seems to work OK. I installed the 32bit libs and this time I got 2 Icons in the printer area. One with "series" and the other with the plain printer name. The printer represented by the name only do not work but the one with the "series" extension seems to work fine and I gan now log in to the printer at 192.168.1.120 and change settings.

One problem thou I get some Log errors "/etc/udev/rules.d/60-brother-libsane-type1-inst.rules:14 Invalid key 'SYSFS'" prio 3

The "/etc/udev/rules.d/60-brother-libsane-type1" seems to have a faulty line in it that gives a log error.

I don't know if it is safe to "comment out" that line with an "#" at the start of the line or if it will brake the printer installation.

Is there any other way to correct this log error ?

Well, setxkbmap did confirm that you have the correct files being used. Have you looked in the file /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/pc to see that it has the lines I showed you?

I try to open the file with "sudo nano pc", half file was garbage. Did the same on the installation cd "pc" file and that one worked fine with nano. So I copy the file to my setup and restarted. And..YES it seems to work now. Did not know the PC file was involved at all in the Swedish keymap. I only looked in the SE file for problems. Are the national keymaps only altering parts needed upon the US base ?

So thanx for the tips! I would never had looked in the PC for the problems.

should have installed Slackware and enabled cups at installation
none of your issues would be there.
As for VPN that is built into opera and firefox. Vpn is a scam if you want to hide. Your IP records everything and sells your info. No way to hide from your IP. VPN is over rated.

I have a brothers printer https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:ha...r_installation
Thing is you need to use Linux not a sudo wtf system

It's the old Unix method of building things from simple parts. It would be silly for every national key map to repeat the definition of Alt and Control. You'll notice there are also files which list all the options for CapsLock, Shift, and the keypad. Actually, the Swedish driver modifies the northern European layout in the file latin, not the US layout.
