Notebbok doesn't recognize my wireless device

I have a notebook Acer Aspire 5920, it came with vista but i downgraded it to XP but i'm still having problems with the devices, so I have decided to install Fedora 10, I am completely new on Linux, so I need a little help to make my computer work properly.
The details should be the following:
- # Intel® Core™ 2 Duo fino a 4MB L2 Cache e 800MHZ FSB
# Express Chipset Mobile Intel® PM965
Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) network connection.
It seems like linux doesn't recognize mi wireless device and I have no idea what to do to make it recognize it.
I have a rooter wireless encrypted with a WAP key, but I cant see the conection, but the reason i'm sure is that linux doesn't recognize my wireless card.
I can anticipate that I no nothing about kernel, although i would like to start studying it.
If you could help me in anyway I'd be very grateful.
P.D: I'm italian so scuse me if my english is not quite right.
Thanks a lot.
Giuseppe

Hi,

Does the "iwconfig" command not see the wlan0 device?Or does the gui not see it?

Run the "lspci" command in a terminal and post the output here, look into your list of loaded modules (=drivers) for iwlagn (command : "lsmod | grep agn" ). Search the package manager for "4695" or "agn" and see if the eventual results would help.
