Not geting the ready prompt in the hyper terminal after connecting the hitachi board
 

hi all
iam trying to boot linux image on to the hitachi board
the board is at present without an boot loader
i want to put redboot boot loader, but before that once i connect the board to the host machine, i should get a ready promt in the hyperterminal
which is not happening
i have set baud rate to 38800,8N1

can anyone help me

Not really enough information. Can you post a web site on this board? Does the manual have any instructions on connecting a PC?

there was some problem in 2 ic's in the board
we changed, now its working fine
we have ported redboot bootloader, we r trying to put linux image on to the board,
i have a doubt, should we put zImage or zImage.srec
bcoz we tried putting zImage but once we give go command, we r getting some unwanted charecters with the prompt, were to get the exact memory addresses of hitachi 7751 processor
