I have a problem. I'm not too familiar with linux. I have the EduLinux 9.1 distribution (It's mandrake 9.1 with more programs packaged and various things) and I don't have any sound. I have an ASUS A7V8X-X with the via 82xx AC'97 soundMax built-in sound card. Linux recognize it perfectly but I still don't have any sound. I've tried to put it in the microphone jack and to raise the mixer level to maximum but it won't help. Please help me and if you can tell me where I can find an online tutorial of how to use mandrake 9.1linux for beginner and give me some links of some linux community sites(in french mostly) I would be grateful!!!!
