Hi, I found this
"6. Sound The A21p comes with a Crystal SoundFusion PCI soundcard. Redhat 7.0 automatically configures it, but it did not produce sounds. Disabling "PCI Bus Power Mgmt" in BIOS menu did the trick. Push [F1] at startup, and disable <Config> - <Power> - <PCI Bus Power Management> (last entry, scroll down!)." here. http://www.neurophys.wisc.edu/~cai/linux/a21p/ It appears to be an older document, but it's worth a shot. Good luck. |
Hi,
I tried the proposed BIOS update but it doesn't work. |
If the bios fix didn't work I'd try some different settings in alsamixer. Toggle a few things on and off, etc. Did you run through lsmod, and alsamixer after changing the bios?
Good luck. |
I tried alsamixer that effectively change some things but didn't look for lsmod.
I will try and see. Bye, Miguipda ;-) |

I'm fresh out of ideas, all the modules are loaded, are you getting any errors? Let's have a look at dmesg please?
Good luck. |
