Question No sound on right channel, Soundblaster Audigy 2

Hi!

I do have a strange problem:

I'm Running Fedora Core2 (Upgraded from FC1)
kernel: 2.6.9-1.6_FC2 (tried with 2.6.8-1.521 also)
alsa-utils-1.0.3-1
alsa-lib-1.0.3a-2
alsa-lib-devel-1.0.3a-2

And I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 (Model SB0240)

This is my issue:
I tried to start Skype (with success), but my friend heared me quite bad, so I went in to the "Open Volume control" through the trayicon and tried to adjust some settings, nothing semed to help, so I tried almost every setting there under "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 [ALSA Mixer]"... the result became worse for every thing I tried to adjust, I stoped when he heared himself in an ecco and he sounded very "blurry"... after that I only have sound on my left channel, no matter if I trye my speakers or my headset.
I begun to woder if I had turned some settings on the card that couldnt be turned back so I tried to exchange my card to an identical NEW card, with same result.

If some guru please could help me, I would be greatful!

And another thing... Someone knows what those 32 "EMU10K1 PCM" and 32 "EMU10K1 PCM Send" fields are? (Seems like only the first EMU10K1 PCM field gives any result)

I'd try to reset the alsa mixer settings to their default value, wherever they are.

btw.. How did you manage to use skype with the audigy? people cannot hear me, and I've found out I can only record (with krec) stuff like system bells and so on. HOW do I chose which channel is supposed to go for record?

Hi!

I would love to help you with the answers for your questions... but he could at first not hear me at all, when I "tuned" some he could hear me faint... but b4 I found the +20db slider, I had ruined my settings so he only could hear himself in an echo, and I just heared som distorted sound...

And now 4 my tag-question: Where do I find the "default" values for my card? (or any card btw)

(the problem occured when I was running 2.6.8-1.521. I tried upgrading to the kernel above to solve the problem.)

As mentioned b4: I do have a "Soundblaster Audigy 2" (Model SB0240) that I have exchanged to an identical card just to get rid of the possibility of hw failure on the board.
