The above sound card (internal actually, no 'card') works fine in Ubuntu but Slackware 12.2 won't find it. Tried alsaconfig, which seems happy, but no sound.
How do you know Slackware won't find it? Does it show up in lspci? Are the sound modules loaded (lsmod)? The first thing I always have to do is turn up the volume, it always starts at 0... try alsamixer or aumix.
