no sound because of capture card?

Hello,
whenever I start KDE I get the following message

Quote:
Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.
when I type lsmod in the shell this is what I get

Code:

Code:

│ Chip: Bt87x
I have a feeling that the capture card is being recongnized as a sound card, am I correct? is there a way to fix this without having to remove the capture card? Both the sound card and the capture card have worked together in the past, when I had suse and mandrake.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and by the way... Happy New Year!!!
